Bluff Park Association

The Bluff Park Art Association is a non-profit incorporated group dedicated to its objective: to promote the Arts in the community, in the schools and in the home. The Association is composed of a diverse group of people who are interested in art and is led by an all-volunteer board of directors who oversee the annual show, the permanent art collection and various projects undertaken throughout the year.

The Annual Show

The first show was held in Bluff Park to benefit the Bluff Park Elementary School library and has grown into a prestigious annual event. The top award is a purchase award, and the winning work is added to the permanent collection. These works are displayed in local schools, colleges and other public buildings.

Projects

Proceeds from the Annual Show go to support the Arts in the greater Birmingham community. Over the years we have undertaken many projects, both large and small. These have varied from buying art books for school libraries to commissioning public sculpture and paintings.

No Public Parking at Show Site. Free Parking and Shuttle Buses in the area.

Free shuttle buses operate from 9:00 until 5:00

NORTH BUS ROUTE: Bluff Park United Methodist Church, Shades Mountain Independent Church, Shades Mountain Plaza, Bluff Park Village Shopping Center.
SOUTH BUS ROUTE: Shades Crest Baptist Church

In case of Sunday rain date, church lots are not available. Please be considerate to the neighbors who are inconvenienced by the crowd.

Food, Fun, Facts

HOME-MADE CAKES AND SWEETS: From the kitchens of the Bluff Park United Methodist Women
FOOD VENDORS: BBQ, SANDWICHES, COCA-COLA PRODUCTS,
HANDS-ON ART FUN: For children ages 3 - 8, while you shop. Supervised by the Shades Mountain Women's Club.
MUSIC: live in the park from the Gazebo, featuring Local High School Jazz Bands.
T-SHIRTS: Limited number available at Exhibition Hall Deck.
ART CARTS: If you make a purchase that you feel is too cumbersome or fragile to take on a shuttle bus, special arrangements can be made at the information desk on the Exhibition Hall Deck.
